So if you are wondering what in the heck a person from New Jersey is doing going to school in the heart land Read this. I ended up in Iowa by reading an article in Time magazine which ranked the Agronomy programs in the country. Iowa State was number one this idea of being a part of number one was attractive to me, so I applied to Iowa state, and a host of other colleges on the east coast. I was accepted to all of the schools I applied to , and choose Iowa State University. When I first came to visit Iowa State University, I thought it was really cool. Everyone was extremely nice, there was tons of open space and farmland, and everything was different from home. These things I loved, and attracted me to Iowa. If I had gone to school on the east coast I would be missing out on an awesome experience. Studying at Iowa State University has really been a great experience, and looking back I can’t see myself getting an education anywhere else. The people I have met and the things I have experienced are worth more than just receiving an education. I have also learned not to take things at home for granted.
