Growing up amongst small farmers in central New Jersey, I was never exposed to large amounts of livestock. I went home with a friend of mine who had swine, and cattle. He said it wasn’t a large operation but, I thought it was quite large. I was taught how to feed the cattle using the tractor, and a feed cart. It was really cool to see all of the animals. I also saw swine. When you see the way that they eat they really are pigs! I never realized how sacred these animals are of humans. In the case of pigs if you have food they aren’t as afraid. That was the first large farm I had been to. If other people from New Jersey had seen the farm they would not have left their car in fear of the smell or getting dirty.
