The Rain

Today was a day to get all of my errands run because I am the peer mentor for the Agronomy department. I had to go all over campus and drop off and pick up different forms. I then decided to seek shelter in the Agronomy building to shelter myself from the rain. I am now in the lab wet but thats ok I don't really mind the rain. I plan on working out later today. I have a lot of reading to catch up on in other classes. The rain makes me feel like sleeping. The rain is the sign of the start of something new. There is motivation that tomorrow will bring new things. On September 11th 7 years ago today the World Trade Center was attacked and fell. Living so close to New York City it had a large inpact on my area. The smoke could be seen from my house almost an hour from ground zero. Trains were filled with Men and Women who resembled snow men in shock. Their Loved ones in a state of confusion no television reception no cell phone service, what had happened to their beloved snowmen. New York City was covered in a layer of dull grey dust. Lines at the ferries, Lines at the trains, Lines at the pay phones. Herds of people crossed the bridges anything to get away from that wreched island. They were considered Lucky. I remember the first day after September 11th that it rained. It was a sign of a new beginging no more grey dust, no more shoes in the street. Tomorow will bring better things.
