I love to surf so let’s face it I now currently reside in Iowa how do I get my surfing fix. The facts are that don’t ever satisfy my craving for the perfect wave. But there are things that help like watching videos. Through video I can re-live my alternate lifestyle. Carving some sweet waves the sand my wetsuit I just love everything about it. People in the Midwest do not understand my obsession because they relate the ocean to a lake….. there is no comparison on real sand no waves you can see the other side. I just love the ocean and surfing.
PS I was surfing this day about 4 miles north of the pier!

Responce to the poem
White smiling faces
In the courtroom
In the south
Silent voices in the rear
Blacks only
Reads the sign
In center of the country
They huddle around televisions
Around corner stores
Around news stands
Around the coffin
Morning, praying, crying
Who could do this
A young man reduced to a pulp
Scars left on a well spoken black familyAs white faces smile in the south
** I love writing poetry :)
